Hi! This is a very difficult one to answer, there are a lot! In general so far I like questions about what I like about science and how I became a scientist. More scientifically, I love when i’m asked what my research is about and trying to explain it in simple terms.

Hi Caoimhe – that’s an interesting one –

Why did that happen? is a good general one when you’re looking at unusual data.

Or – how do they do that? when trying to do something like mimic a biological process such as photosynthesis

or – why did they do that? when trying to understand the behavior of a collection of subjects

are all good ones I think.

I like your question very much
      My favourite question is
can you explain this phenomena using science?
as I believe that our life is science from the time you wake up at morning to the time you go to the bed at nigh
      thanks

It’s hard to answer this one!

I think my favourite would be “how does this reaction work?” Two reasons, it’s the basis for a great set of experiments which will tell us something new about the chemistry involved. Secondly it means you already have a discovery worth investigating! 😉
